What We Believe
The Bible is the written word of God, inspired by the Holy Spirit and without error in the original manuscripts. The Bible is the revelation of God’s truth and is infallible and authoritative in all matters of faith and practice.
Bible Translations
While there are many good English translations of the Bible, it also true that since the middle of the 20th century, translations have prolifierated and not all are equally faithful to the original. Tampa Bay Presbyterian Church uses the English Standard Version (ESV) in worship. Therefore, if you are undecided about what translation to use in your personal study, you might find it convenient to use the ESV.
